This will be my final post in this thread because I am not some pseudo scientist trying to prove some theory ,just a guy that likes good music and fast cars and generally enjoying life

I will leave this debate to others that for some reason give a damn ,
on go my headphones and I return to my favorite TOOL Albums sonic bliss and  as I sit here and wonder if my vinyl actually sounds better than my cd  ,you know I think I like vinyl better LOL

That could easily be mastering - many CD's have fallen victim to the loudness war whereas the vinyl tends to be mastered with more care.  This isn't always the case, for example NiN The Slip sounds like arse in comparison the CD/digital files sound way superior because the vinyl was either pressed wrong or mastered even worse.

Sorry to see you go, I never doubted your sincerity.
(donning flame suit NOW!)  Frankly, a lot of times I do like the sound of my vinyl better, it just sounds...................natural!

Is quality power supply essential to a dac ?

Not to the chip itself but the implementation that produces the analog output.  So hell yes.
