Aurisonics Impressions and Reviews

Oh I'm not going to get anything right now, I'm defiantly gonna to what for the reviews.  The only reason I'm getting my TF10's re-shelled is because I want the UM driver upgrade so if not for that I wouldn't do it.  I'm kinda on the fence with customs because after a few years they don't fit because your ears are always changing and I have never had any fit or comfort problems with IEM's, I mean my TF10's fit great I just want the driver upgrade.

Great! Kunlun will be able to compare the AS-1 with the MG6pro, and you can compare the AS-1b with ... half of everything else on the planet.

I wonder how much ears really do change, once you're an adult, and how many years it really takes. Personally, I'm more worried about potential accidents, or problems due to long exposure to humidity.

I've also got an order in for the AS1-b, which is the version with a tunable ambient port and separate tunable bass port.

I received my impression kit earlier this week, and have already made impressions and mailed them back. Aurisonics should receive them next week, which means hopefully I'll get the finished product 2-3 weeks after that.

Customer service has been excellent. I've been speaking with Dale Lott, president/CEO of Aurisonics. He is very helpful and seems to know his stuff when it comes to IEMs. The product is somewhat unique so I'm very eager to hear it. Dale mentioned that they are becoming a sponsor here at HeadFi in the near future.

I've got a fun project planned for this review: a pair of the ASG-1 universal fit IEMs, to be sent around for others on the forum to hear. I'll start the proper thread about it when the time is right - first need to hear them and determine how close they sound to the custom version.

Customer service has been good so far. I emailed them late this morning around 2am, and had a response when I woke up.

Cool! Between you, me, and Kunlun, three very different but experienced perspectives.

Jiff: I'll gladly include you on the ASG-1 loaner program if you are still interested in about a month or so. I'm not really starting a list right now (please, no PMs about it!) but just throwing that out there. I've done similar with DAC and amp units, and it has gone well, but an IEM is even better because it is so cheap to ship.

Yep.  At least everything I have in the price range unless it warrants comparison with the higher end CIEMs.

Yes, very responsive, however Dale will be at the NAMM show next week so that may (or may not) affect the response times.

Yep, three different perspectives is always better for other.

When the time is right I would be interested in hearing the demo for a few days to see how it compares with the real thing for perspective.  I have yet to hear a demo that sounds as good as the real thing, or even more than about 80% of the real thing.

Of course! You can be first in line.

Hi to all of you sound addicts like me =D

I'm thinking in buying "custom molds for any earbud" from Aurisonics. I'll share my opinions and procedure when everything is done:)

I own a pair of v-sonic GR07, but the left one keeps getting out and the right one after 30-50mins starts to hurt, so i started to look for reshells! Since my iem is not armature, and its bio cellular, thats not possible.
Then i started to look at custom sleeves, im thinking of making my own impressions (with proper cautions and someone to help). I've asked Dale if my gr07(with pictures sent) would apply for this and the anwsers look positive.

1) anyone have pics of a custom sleeve made by them for an iem?

2) any recomendations? like other places to buy from ... the gr07 will/will not be able to rotate the tip ... maybe the gr07 will be more far from my ear than usual, like a piercingxD ??

Thank You all for being part of this comunity that already make me speent 500€ in sound from my usual 15€ in earbuds with nice bass-.- you wallet f**kers!

(sorry for my bad english, but im from portugal)

Aurisonics needs their own loaner/demo program, I would certainly pay a deposit and maybe up to $50 to live with the ASG-1 for a week or two to see if it is the sound signature I'm looking for before plunking down $599 for the AS-1B that I really want.

If one was to purchase the AS-1 after the demo period, there should really be no charge or only minimal shipping charges for the demo.

I would be happy to be the first one to sign up!!!

I'll be sending a pair around, no deposit required! My order should arrive in a few weeks, and I'll need a little time to listen for myself to determine how different the real custom is from the universal.... But after that I'll start sending them around to interested folks like yourself.
