I formerly posted this in the 'Help finding headphones...' thread but it didn't get me anywhere, regardless this is more of a full setup, please read and give some advice or redirect  me to where this should go:

"Hi guys, I'm back here looking for a good portable set-up under £140 using existing equipment and whatever you guys suggest. This setup will be primarily used for jazz 90% of the time (FLAC files, I'm not interested in converting my entire library to 320kbps mp3). So I was wondering if I could get some advice:

What I own now: iPhone, Sennheiser CX400-ii (too bassy for me), FiiO E7, E5, and L9.

I can get a Sansa Clip 8gb for £30 or a 2gb for £23, I can buy a 32gb microSD for £28 or carry multiple 16gb microSDs which will cost me £9 each. I estimate I'll need at least 24gb of space but preferably more so I'm leaning towards the 16gb cards, anybody have experience carrying multiple?

Anyway, onto the headphone options atm: Shure SE215 (£76), Sennheiser IE6 (£68), HifiMan RE0 (£52), Shure S4 (£25) or Sony MDREX510PLB (£47).

I will also consider in future pairing a set of Senn HD25s, Audio Technica Pro700MK2s or Denon AHNC800s with the setup.

So, I apologise for the long rambling post, but what are your opinions? Thanks in advance."

Since writing that I've also started considering the Westone UM1 (£88) and the Fischer Audio DBA-02 and FA-977.

I will recommend the IEMs like RE0, M4, Sony EX510 for these genres music and DAPS like Clip+, Nanite N2.

What type of jazz?  That could make the world of difference.  The genre is 3X the size of "rock".

Well I'm fairly new to jazz so I'm still refining my tastes. I'm liking such a vairety that I couldn't narrow it down to one field, at the moment, Coltrane's Giant Steps is my favourite album but I expect that to change in future. The only 'type' I'm not enjoying so far is fusion, oh and I'm also a big fan of jazz vocals.

Sansa fuze, line out to your E7 followed by some yamaha EPH100

I adore those phones for jazz, they really bring out the soft nature of it, if you want sparkly then it's vsonic GR07.

That's how id do it.

Those two look like great choices after reading some reviews but I really don't know much about either of them. Could you just give a quick comparison to some of the other IEMs I listed, in particular the DBA-02, SE215 and IE6? I'll have a look around the forums of course.

Haven't listened to those im afraid, for jazz i would shy away from ba iems, you won't really get a feel for the music as you would with a dynamic iem.

But i still stand by those two choices, you'd be hard pressed to find better.

You can find the EPH100 for around £80 with a quick google.

Thanks for all the suggestions everybody. I do like the idea of having an all rounder but I think I'll end up getting upgraditus soon anyway and buy a top quality BA IEM, so I think I'll go for either the RE262 or the EPH100 for now. Just two more quick question, what tips do you guys use with the aforementioned IEMs? I personally don't find that flanges ever give me a good seal. Also could anybody offer any opinion on whether it's a hassle to carry round extra microSD cards, from your experience? Thanks again guys.

I know nobody's looked on this thread for a while but I wondered if anybody could give a thought to how the IE8 would compare to anything advised so far? I can get it used for a very reasonable price.
