Colorfly is a computer hardware company. Their first music player C4 is high-priced, interesting and something. (You can read it in this thread. ) Their second and third players ( CK4, CK5 ) are media players, let's ignore them here. The latest one is C3, it's a music player.

C4 is mainly available in China, Europe and Canada; but I heard, there is a chance, C3 will be available to more countries. (I am waiting for reviews before buying it.)

C4 street price: Chinese Dollar $3,500

C3 street price: 4GB, Chinese Dollar $500

C3 street price: 8GB, Chinese Dollar $600

C4

Basically a computer-soundcard in a box.

Anyway, it looks rubbish. Not as rubbish as the other one they did, but still crap.

Just give up championing these obscure Chinese players. Just because nobody uses them does not make them any cop.

Sorry, it should be 2012-01-01.

No, I do not champion Chinese players. In fact, one Chinese company sent me a nasty PM, because I pointed out faults of their products.

When big companies make good music players, I love them, too.

No doubt, some Chinese companies hyped up their crap; every music lover suffers.

Seems the player is 'satisfactory'

Light on bass, but with good detail and resolution, but inferior sq to the c4/ck4

So i'll be taking a pass on this.

No mention of a line out, uses a ti dac which is no bad thing as my nexus uses one and it's excellent, there is life after wolfson.

I'm borrowing one right now. I listened to it all the way home. The control scheme isn't good but the sound was. I've not had the chance to compare it to anything else yet but its price and looks are good enough to make me think.
