Paying attention to traffic lights, cars and other cyclists is for the weak!
...
Lots of drama is an understatement.
I see, then that means I don't have to worry about demoing the first ep.
So in short you claim that whether or not Jgray likes or dislikes a show, you'll watch it? Where's the use in that.
His ranting lol
Most of the series you guys like are objectively good. I know that. Only problem then for me, is if it is enjoyable for me.
I can basically give Bakemonogatari a 9/10 as an innovative anime that does so much 'right'. I have already done some analyzation of its usage for perspective, and which character is saying what and how they want to be perceived and how the anime uses those point of views and feelings in its presentations. I can do that. But in the end, I hate the series with a mighty hammer in terms of me falling asleep at it. I get 0 enjoyment out of it. 0.
You guys being enjoyed at an anime thus gives me an idea of an objectively good series. The problem then for me is if I will enjoy it.
And then when Jgray actively rages at the ecchi in another anime. I know that will then probably be a show I will watch lol
I'll say listen to the panda partially. Regarding White Album, I'm just lashing out to how bland and normal and dumb it looks; judge a book by its cover and all that jizz.
Real bad example. I hate monogatari series. It's got excellent animation, but it's extremely boring and has way too much focus on fan service and moe if you ask me.
you think monogatari series has too much moe? There's a bit of fanservice, but nothing insane compared to your average ecchi ****.
That's a bad argument, since I hate ecchi shows with a burning passion. It's the cancer that is killing anime in my eyes.
If you think monogatari series does not have a lot of moe and fanserivce then you probably have gotten used to the cancerous state of a large part of currently airing anime. Booh mechy, booh.
You are now officially among the ranks of people who see moe as a good thing, meaning you are among the people who (in my eyes) invite mediocrity into an otherwise good medium.
This is one of shows that aren't in intersection thingy in our Venn diagram. I don't think bake has a lot of ecchi, and I'll admit that nise has lots of it. I want to say that its ecchi fanservice is different overall, but other than the ultraawesome toothbrushing hard on action, that's it. I'll say this though for the Monogatari series: I like this kind of harem, not the usual harem. There are fan service and moe, but I don't think it's as blatant as spunk gargle wee*1.
I mean, the (arguably) best show this season,
KILL LA KILL, is very blatantly ecchi, what with the hyper exhibitionist sentai suits the main characters wear. But people that thinks too much more than me while watching
KILL LA KILL said that Trigger has some message for it and smth smth about be proud of yourself or some such. Maybe Trigger used ecchi fan service with another primary goal, and the fap fuel of the design is a secondary goal. Contrasting that to Idol Wrestling PoS, which its primary, secondary and tertiary goals are without a doubt as fap fuel first (but what I got from the blogosphere is that those that love wrestling as what it is truly, not the fantasy of what wrestling portrays, say that Idol Wrestling PoS is even bad at the wrestling thing). Ecchi fan service is just a mere tool, and I think with enough work, I can overlook the ecchi fan service for the main thing that a studio want to present. That being the Monogatari series and
KILL LA KILL, for example, and the counter example for one is Gargantia.
*1: I hope Yahtzee of Zero Punctuation isn't mad at me for adapting his label for CoD and Cod clones for trashy haremoecchi anime.
