Aiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii. No one cares about me :frowning2: jk. I guess you guys don't really think its a big deal, but I'm still kind of spazzing out that I'm about to spend so much on headphones. I don't think I've owned a 200$+ pair of cans before so this is quite the big jump. And my harvard friend appears to be asleep or banging his gf. So I can't spazz out to him either.

You're buying the LCD2s? Very nice!

@Kalbee
Hmm... that's weird...

What is?

More like I am appalled on your rather sudden decision to buy a pair of LCD2. I can't find myself spending that much on one pair of headphone...
Well, hope they work out better than those M80. What did you not like about those again?

@numbers
I hope you're sure those are exactly what you want. I mean, their resale value should be pretty good, but still it's a lot of money unless you know what you're getting.

Also ask yourself if you're that into hifi or if they suit some need you have. Unless you just have money to burn and it doesn't matter either way.

So I was bored and started watching Brave. Dropped half way through because I couldn't take it anymore. This is more of a "cynical and cliche mainstream media Disney movie aimed at young girls and uneducated parents which just so happens to be animated by Pixar" than anything else.

Well at least you're set now. LCD2 + PH. :D

Haaa. Yeah until I decide to upgrade to balanced. Or until I desire ciems.

Well my friend owns a pair and recently he's also been getting me into a lot of electronic music. It does wonders in that field. The m80's were mostly disliked for comfort issues. I bought them for outdoor use and the isolation was cruddy, a lot cruddier than I expected, half volume + wind made for a mediocre listening experience. That was the main reason. I did like the sound though, and at worst I'll flip them for a 30-40 dollar loss or something. Or just regift them to someone.

Yeah resale should be a minimal loss even if I don't like them. Actually I could flip them unopened for more money that I bought them for..

They do seem to be quite similar to what I want, like I said before my friend owns a pair and honestly I think it matches a lot of my genres perfectly. Soundearphones also has a 30 day gaurentee so if I think that hifi isn't cutting it for me I can just return them.

I sort of have money to burn. I mean I'm going to be broke until monday when I get paid, but then I'll have plently of money to survive one. My parents pay my rent and utilities so I don't have to worry about that. Tuition is covered by the school because I have an 12k/year scholarship. So I don't really have anything else to spend money on apart from saving for grad school.

If I'd spent that much money, I'd get some better recommended headphones

Paradox for example or Senns HD600 and HD650 or maybe even get DT880

I've really been getting into electronic. The complete neutrality of those just isn't really going to cut it for me I don't think. If I don't like the lcd-2's, I can return them. 30-day satisfaction policy's are pretty dope.

So you've even heard them before. That's more than I can say before any of my past purchases, haha. Sounds good if that's what you want then. Have fun.

I suppose I haven't technically ordered the LCD-2's. I'm waiting on my gift card code to come through email but I think they personally do it instead of automatically generating it so I'll have to wait until tomorrow.

@Computer People

Let's say hypothetically I wanted to get a new computer on a budget of ~$400. Desktop or laptop...it actually doesn't really matter, whatever I can afford. I already have a monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc. I would need something good enough to handle pro audio editing software. Any advice or things I should know that I'm probably ignorant of? Or just grab whatever random thing I can find that looks like it has decent specs and fits the price range?

Yeah, glitch mob, prototype raptor, dead mau5, that kind of thing. I still listen to kpop, jpop, hip hop, and stuff like adele and yellowcard though... so I guess I listen to like... too much stuff to pick a genre oriented headphone lol ><
