Oh I like just about any large open area of nature. Hawaii has a bunch of those kinds of vistas. The beach is an easily accessible one, and I like the sounds of the waves. : D

I bet you do, city dweller

Has potential.

Is anyone here watching this besides me?

The processor's so slow booting into OSX feels like it was on HDDs.

Okay, I just installed a SSD in my old macbook pro (3rd Gen i5) and boot times are just a bit faster then the new macbook...........
So the problem lies in OSX itself and not the hardware.

Maybe I'm just being too harsh on this one because I'm used to the 10-second boot times on my linux laptop.

btw, I'm bringing my old Macbook Pro back to life just to use Logic Pro......... I HATE YOU APPLE!!!

  Ooo Logic project?

I got some audio to mix / master.

It's not that I don't have a decent DAW on linux, but rather I'm just so used to the apple AU plug-ins that it's a PITA to find VST replacements for all of them...

Another problem is hardware drivers for linux, they are non-existent.
Plug a 8-channel interface into my linux machine, got 2 channels working with the generic driver. :frowning2:

What have I done to myself.... 2 years ago, I carry a single Macbook Pro + dumb-phone around with me.

After getting into Uni, I got a MI2S phone because I needed Whatsapp.
A year later, I got a SHIELD tablet so I could go to lectures with that alone.
Another few months later, I got a XPS13 Ultrabook to replace my Macbook Pro.
Now, I realized that I still need my Macbook.

Result? I now carry with me:
  1. MI2S smart-phone
  2. Macbook Pro (?)
  3. SHIELD Tablet
  4. XPS13 Ultrabook

Funny thing is, I bought each one to replace the previous.
This folks, is dependencies in a nutshell.....

Stuff I bring with me when I go out.
I usually carry a 40L backpack.

How did I get through three years of computer science with just my smartphone?

40L? Seriously? I thought my rucksack with Thinkpad, pocket knife, iPod etc is heavy enough, at least from my friends' perspective

'tis the burden of having new waifus without properly breaking up with your old one.....

I named each of them:
MBP - kotoko
XPS13 - michiru
SHIELD - nayuta

I also named some the ones in my anime club LAN:
NAT Gateway - saya
Switches/APs - luna, vivi, naru
Multimedia Terminals - rimi, lain
Web Server - index
App/File Server - yuki (this is where I hosted the waifu2x service for you guys)

Ohh the geeks... good luck poi

I stopped caring about iems and portable phones after getting UERM...
The portable gear market is soooo not my thing, all those kilobucks universals, and DAPs that die within 5-10hrs playback :/
I sure hope desktop gears don't inflate like that >.<

Auto suggestion sounds creepy, like how google or the likes track you =_=
Also behind of additional releases for another reason. Most of the time I would have those downloaded in bdrip batch, but then end up putting aside as I am always busy with ongoings orz

Lol, not suggestions as much as updates. Like it would just be an auto setting to email you when an entry is added to the database that something is related which you have on your list with the criteria OVA or something like that. Not like, oooh, he like Psycho Pass, let me recommend him Rec (cool show btw).

Generally with stuff like OVAs, unless I know it adds to the story or explains something, I get to it, maybe at some point, like side quests in video games.

Yea the portables market has lost whatever semblance of sanity it may have once had. Speaking of UERMs and lost, I fear I somehow lost mine when I moved to my new apartment. Haven't seen it in a few months :frowning2:
