I read, write and watch stuff in English all day long. I consume more anglophone media than germanophone. Far far more.
But for some stupid reason I still can't bring myself to read books in English.
It really doesn't make sense.

I rather have a super tangly cable than a super stiff one with loads of microphonics.
Will get one of these Linum things once my current stock cable breaks....which is not going to happen anytime soon. Still going strong after almost three years.
I've found a "technique" that I use when coiling the cable to reduce tangling as much as possible. Unfortunately it's not perfect and some days I spend a good 20-30 seconds untangling the line. But the times that I pick up the monitors and the cable uncoils perfectly are worth it.

I use a traditional 3-finger wrap but I take my time and make sure that each row is to the right of the previous and I also let some slack into the wrap so that the cable naturally rests in the right direction.
I keep mine in a protective UM case. They're custom and customs are more sensitive to knocking around than many universals are so I baby them.

Currently looking for a nice sci-fi saga to read.
Why do most of them have to be stupid military stories?!
I don't like this military stuff...
It's the reason why I could just not get into LotGH and Yamato 2199.
Have you ever read Brian K. Vaughn's comic series Saga? I'd highly recommend that if you're into something sci-fi that's different from the norm. Actually... do you read comics at all? I find most of the well recognized ones to be better written than manga, although I do enjoy the art style of manga a lot.

I'm not really into comics and manga, but Saga has been on my Amazon wishlist for a good while. I heard fantastic things about it and I swear I will read it one day!
But not now. Decided to re-read my favorite book series in English. This way I don't have to wait another ten years for the last two books to be translated and I can finally read all the short stories and stuff that never got translated.
I really don't like re-reading/watching stuff, but I'll make an exception for Malazan ♥

Definitely check it out. It's a great series. If you're interested in BKV's stuff, (and you should be, definitely read Y the Last Man at least once in your life), a nice little primer is The Private Eye, which is "pay what you want." It's written by Vaughan and illustrated by Marcos Martin. It has a very, very cool art style. I think you'd dig it. You can check it out here:
