Dayum...that's what I call dedication!

I'm more inclined to back their NSS product now since they strongly believe in its technology and bothered to go through all of that effort to tune it with experiments and peoples' feedback.

Hmm 4-pin connector, looks like both sides are receving/playing both channels' signal, welp I remain sceptical poi..

wait.... how did I not catch that??? LOL

I missed that too orz

Heck, there are pretty good deals on used X5 for 200€ in the trade forum.

i remember you adding Schiit Asgard 2 to you future list, its in the trade forum for 200$, yet 250v not 120v, i assume Netherland have 220-240v right? go ahead and get that nice deal :p

Hey Mice, I've been thinking of trying out an entry level Stax setup for awhile. Maybe a 2170. My budget will be about maybe a grand or so. Anywho, I was curious whether it's even worth investigating this avenue when I already own the UERM. Since you've been in the position of owning the 207 and have heard the UERM, I thought I'd run the question by you.

Woah woah woah, you should be able to get a SRS-2170 set shipped for about ~$471 murricah bucks from PriceJapan, it's a no brainer at that price, it's quite the experience listening to an electrostat if nothing else.

The 2150/2170 setup is the best way to start out IMO, don't bother with the higher end combo or 307/407 lambda setups for now. You will need to buy a 12V linear regulated wallwart thingymajigy. (with centre pin negative on the older amps, triple check!)

Or you could use a 110V>100V step down transformer, whatever floats your boat.

So...... I tried all sorts of nasty tricks to get Play Store to let me download Japanese games....
from simple ones like changing language/location/timezone to APK downloaders to Root + GSM code editor....
I messed up my tablet numerous times in the last 24 hours and in the end, I succeeded by using a simple Japanese VPN. (facepalm)

No tricks needed, Play Store identifies an account with IP alone.

I remember adding Asgard 2 to my future list. But now not needed, I bought Matrix M-Stage for 189€ with the mod applied and am happy with it.
I actually don't need to buy anything, I just want something. I want a HD600 for a change tho. Someday

So my Q701s are in the process of getting cleared by customs, might take a while since I'm probably on 100 different government watch lists.

I'm not really liking the new season of Log Horizon, a lot less plot happening and more SoL type events.

Comparing Android ported VNs by MoeApp with their PC counter part.

PC ver. costs approx 9k yen (with box and CD), Android app costs approx 1.6k yen.

The android ver actually suffers badly from compressed low res images.
It might look fine on a 5" phone but It's horrible on my 8" tablet.

Personally, I wouldn't mind paying a bit more for full res on Android....

the M-Stage is a very good amp, it won't be as warm but its still a very good amp, i am sure you will love it, and it does sound good with HD6xx series as well, but i say get a good dac so you hear a bigger sound stage and more details, in case you want that ofc.

Any recommendations?
Until now, I've only been using my Tablet as a music player cuz its got a powerful amp.

it does depend on you budget and what kind of music sig you are after, PM me later , cause trust me this does take a lot of PMs to resolve :p  for me i bought from M-Stage till Ragnarok (1600$) just to test all the amps for my beloved J-pop, and ofc i bought dacs and cables etc, lets continue that in a PM till we get you the best setup for you budget.

Naaaah no need to rush. I don't see any huge difference between good DAC so even if I were to buy a new, might only get Modi.
Oh but there's currently a listing for ODAC for 67€ now. But no rush.
Headphone still priority

You are not most people. Android is very popular with the low income customers. Therefore they expect any and everything to be free. Even $0.99 is akin to threatening your family into prostitution and absolutely appalling.

So I don't think that would happen lol.
