Mhmm, that was quite a rage, hahaha.

I still remember when Snow Leopard was first released and basically the only major update was converting the whole architecture to 64-bit and I was like "that's it? :/"
Ah the good 'ol days when the gestures were called Exposé. Mission Control sounds really cheesy and I thought it destroyed the whole point of Exposé (to see all of your open windows at once). Ironically enough, they added the Exposé window layout in the first major update of Mountain Lion and I immediately changed it to that style. XD

Dat audience reaction

Hmmm I didn't think Exposé changed all that much. I use Mission control such that some desktops have permanent functions. I keep those open at all times.

Remember back when virtual desktops wern't built into OSX?
I still remember the days I used Desktop Manager in OSX 10.4....
Then came along OSX 10.5 with the all mighty Spaces feature (now called Mission control).

Oh and remember back when apple computers used IBM's PowerPC CPUs?
My first laptop was also apple's first line of laptops that used Intel x86 CPUs... they are called "Macbooks"

(Yeah I'm somewhat proud of the fact that I owned a first-gen Macbook, There were only iBooks and PowerBooks before)
All the apple fanboys nowadays will never know that Macbooks were made of plastic. lol

Huh, that plot actually looks pretty interesting! Where did you even hear about this game though? Also nice song :)

LOL, Every time I lean towards buying a Mac, I hear about you having another problem with yours. D:

I'm subscribed to this blog, this guy posts new VN releases every month!
Unfortunately, (as you already know) most of the VNs don't get translated....

If you plan on studying comp-sci, using a OSX will definitely give you an advantage over windows.
Of course, switching to linux might be an even better choice....
Personally I find OSX to have the most user-friendly GUI front-end but I've used it for way longer than any other GUIs so I'm biased.

I just check anime-sharing most of the time , but this looks like a good place instead of going through 10+ mediocre games just to get to that good one

Not liking catgirls is a bannable offense here, sicko.

My first MacBook was only the 5,1 model, which was the first aluminum unibody design and ran Leopard. Funny thing is that when that Mac's display died, I had to get a new MacBook and now I have the first Retina Display MacBook Pro. XD
I have an old Macintosh desktop computer though. I used to play Power Pete on that thing back in the day, hahaha.

Mission Control is a combination of Spaces and Exposé. I'm fine with the Spaces part, it's actually more manageable than it was in Leopard/Snow Leopard, but Exposé lost its usefulness in Mission Control in Lion with app grouping in my opinion.

^ if you have a lot of Finder windows open, for example, app grouping in Mission Control makes the Exposé feature useless; you can't tell what window is what

^ classic Exposé where windows are oriented in space depending on their last location

I also don't like the only horizontal Spaces in Mission Control. It really really really annoys me when someone in a classroom has 8 spaces/full-screen apps open and they spend a good 5 seconds just scrolling through them with those two-finger gestures on the trackpad. That's why I don't use Spaces so much any more, I can still use Exposé and get to my desired window in 1 second; *bam Exposé*, *bam spatially placed desired window*, easy peasy. In Leopard/Snow Leopard, you can have stacked Spaces such that you can just use a keyboard shortcut to go to an adjacent horizontal OR vertical Space, which was quite handy.

I agree, the old spaces was much better, but I've kinda adapted to the new system by having a hot-corner activated mission control and dedicated desktops for each app so I can still get to whatever I need under 1 sec.

I remember when there was a black Macbook that Apple made available very briefly then pulled off the shelves, and the very first unibody Macbook that also had a user-replaceable battery! It's a wonder how they kept more or less the same design for 5 whole years, and it still doesn't feel outdated.

Ah I see. I tend to not use hotcorners nowadays since I don't like dragging the cursor to the edges of the display. I use the first scaled down "resolution" appearance for my display, so it takes some effort to make the mouse traverse the screen while keeping it at a comfortable sensitivity. People already say my cursor is fast. XD

Unfortunately I get the black screen of death whenever my 1st gen aluminum MacBook gets hot; either a loose connection with the screen or something. :/
It got so bad to the point that whenever the black screen of death appeared at school, I had to physically whack the screen because the loose connection or whatever would get back in place. Yeah, it's pretty bad....and I was basically forced to get another computer.

And I accidentally dropped my MacBook when reaching to plug in the charger to a stupid wall outlet behind a table and the impact caused the battery to make an imprint up from the palm rest. >.>

Oh my gawd....
https://www.edx.org/course-list/allschools/allsubjects/allcourses

That is friggin' awesome. I really wish I had known about that website earlier. Free education, and not just trivial stuff either!
This would have been so helpful to know about earlier during my undergraduate c areer. >.>

Looked at the stuff they have for mathematics. It's all either stuff without any real content, or first year stuff. No graduate level courses. Meh.
For physics it's slightly more advanced, but still doesn't go past introductory quantum mechanics. (except one graduate level course).

On the other hand this site does offer some better stuff. Though I'm still always baffled by how little is covered in American undergraduate courses.

Also, are you guys seriously having the old Mac-Windows debate? This has happened a multitude of times before in this very thread. Why don't you guys realize these discussions never lead to anywhere?

It's like discussing the ethical issues of abortion or euthanasia. Everyone has a firm opinion, an nobody's gonna change it.

Uuuuhhhhhh fancy.
Enthusiast compact camera master race ♥

Soooo....is that your first "real" camera?
Picking one with a prime lense doesn't really seem like a beginner friendly choice but whatever.

Mirrorless is the nobles of said Masterrace.

That being said, I'm currently cameraless as I've not used it enough over the last 6 months to justify keeping it any longer. Maybe when I decide to go traveling again someday. Someday...
