Lol, I'm far from being McGyver. When I think of McGyver all I can think of is "McGyver... McGyver... McGyver... Aunt Selma has one hour to live!"

Dillinger Escape Plan is pretty sweet. Love Mike Patton

Too bad he only did session vocals on that one release.

Is anyone even using that feature?

I am so the opposite of Millhouse...

How else would you know when people quote/mention you? I haven't seen on-site notifications for that, apart from perusing threads manually.

That's not what I wanted to imply!

By reading through all the posts? No one is really using that feature anyway.

Al - is your avatar from School Rumble? I've been trying to figure that out

You'll need to spell out the implication for me then...

You're telling me that everyone but me doesn't receive email notifications? I do read through all the posts, but some don't. The email notifications make it easier to pinpoint the posts you've been quoted in.

That's Tatsuya to you! =P

Yes. It's Tenma Tsukamoto. If you know School Rumble, you should already know this.

For those unaware, this photo is of Richard D. James, best known for his electronica band Aphex Twin.

Wouldn't call it a band, just an alias or a project, if anything. If my memory serves me well, the only collaboration album was "Expert Knob Twiddlers" as Mike & Rich (with Mike Paradinas AKA μ-Ziq). There were live collaborations of course, like the recent one with Krzysztof Penderecki and Johnny Greenwood. Other than that, yeah. Also for completion, the album whose cover is that image based on is called just "Richard D. James Album".

The Dillinger Escape Plan did a great cover of "Come To Daddy"...

I already said that here long ago, but I have a habit of not putting down the headphones after finishing listening and the jack socket on my previous phone was kinda busted (or was it just the headphone mini jack? Nevermind) and the player took it as plugging the headphones in and automatically started playing that cover. Imagine: late at night and for no apparent reason I suddenly hear Mike's "IIIIII Want Your Ssssoouul".

Also, that EP is the Best thing they've recorded or at least my favorite. Wish we would get more stuff from them with Mike Patton on vocals.

I'm on mobile most of the time so the avatars are very small. That and I watched SR like years ago, so I kinda have a vague memory of her character design (which doesn't really stand out in the sea of schoolgirl characters anyway)

I used the term band loosely. I was going to mention the album, but felt it unnecessary.

LOL. My uncle saw the movie The Ring and when he came back home, the TV was on...with that static. (Turned out to be from a power outage, but still creepy.)

Yeah, it's a great EP.

Does this mean you weren't sure either, or were you just helping him out?

Ah, gotcha. She has distinctive pigtails that wiggle when she's excited, lol

I'm actually using it and like it.

That's two of us - who else? =D

But hardly anyone is using this whole @ thing.
Hmmmmm whatever floats your boat, I guess. I check my emails maybe twice a day so....

Do you remember what file format the 3rd track was?

Quote:

Yeah, I caved in and listened to the tracks before going to sleep.

From my laptop, everything sounds bad anyway, so via computer playback, all the tracks sounded the same.

It was only when I put them on the iPod that I could hear enough extra detail to differentiate between them - but again, the audible differences are small, at least with my $550 portable setup.

The first track has slightly more focus, tightness, punch, clarity, detail, brightness, separation, extension, and tonality. You can hear into the attack and echoes of the percussion better. The instruments sound just a little bit more lush.

I immediately noticed that the other two tracks sound a little dry, flat, muffled and distant, with more bloated bass in comparison to the first track.

I would say the third track is the lowest quality. I can hear and feel a tiny bit of extra distortion that gives me more of a headache.

If you're just listening casually, you may not notice any of these differences; it requires paying closer attention. It was easier for me to hear differences between lossless and lossy versions of some of my own CD rips.

Anyway, this is a cool song. Sorry I couldn't properly ABX it.

I actually waited until Commie Subs released their version of Free! for once, instead of Horrible Subs. XD

Were they the ones who did the "Even gayer swimming!" in the OP sequence?

LOL.

I've only known Spada for a short while, but he's already my favorite member here! =D

There's a Teen Titans parody series called Teen Titans Go! where (I think) they intentionally made it as stupid as possible, in a comedic way. (The original Teen Titans is very dark and serious for a kid's show.)

It's like...from this:

...to this:

That was fast.

Teen Titans was actually one of those kids shows I thought was pretty good. The only other ones I could actually sit down and watch were Fairly Odd Parents, Phineas and Ferb (yeah, start poking fun at me), Regular Show, and Adventure Time, not that it matters because I don't have cable anymore.
