One can play any other single-player video game and get more out of that than playing a VN though...XD

OORRRRRRrrr, one could play Agarest: Generations of War.
It's an RPG, eroge aspects (more positive = better teammates!).

Just kidding, I'm only going to buy it for the wallpapers on Steam. They cost $16-$40 each.

Well VNs aren't for everyone... no worries if you can't enjoy VNs, find something else that you like more.
The beautiful artwork, voice and music means everything to me, I'd never read a book without those.

For me, Anime ≥ VN >> Manga >> any other forms of entertainment.

Perhaps. XD
I can only stare at the same chairs for so long. I mean, they show it for like 60% of the time I spent playing the darn thing. Such excite.

Key's characters always scare me.

^ that's a cool new alien species

The background is nice on the other hand. Might as well play Tales of Symphonia though. Action + story + character dialogue >>>>>>> staring at chairs while reading text and looping music. At least the "never ending loop of running around, talking, killing monsters" is dynamic and different each time while devising strategies to defeat enemies....or you can go back to staring at chairs while pressing a button.

Ugh...how does one play a VN for fun? I tried playing Narcissu and I fell asleep. All you do is read text, push the enter key, and listen to the same looping music. Occasionally I have to press the up or down arrow key. If I wanted to do that, I'd just read a book while listening to some brown noise while tapping on a keyboard key. >.>

Also, don't watch JoJo episode 7 on the public bus. Just What.

Maybe that had to do with the fact you only got 30 minutes of sleep?

Watching anime/movies/TV and listening to music are even less interactive, just keep that in mind. :D

Usually Key characters aren't thaaaaat bad. They're more subdued like this (IMO)
I agree that picture is creepy, and it looks nothing like Kotori.

I'd personally recommend you try Planetarian personally, It took me ~5 hours to beat (so not that much lost time if you don't like it, compared to other VNs) and it's legally available on the iOS app store in English. It also has an awesome soundtrack (IMO) and the backgrounds to change a lot (though more near the end... I won't spoil anything though.)

Holy crap my receiver had some bad bass rolloff going on! The Emotiva a-100 just grabs the bass of my speakers by the balls and throws some serious punch!

Even school days was boring for me, and it's one of the more animated and less interactive ones. It's just too much effort remembering all the choices.

The HQ ver or what?
That one is fully animated, I'm not even sure if I could call that a VN.
and hell, it even shows you the route map and character meter...

LOL
