Did they stop production of TS-671 ?

I was looking to upgrade my Hi2050 to them.

Is there any alternative with similar sound characteristics and size to TS-671 ?

Amazon shows them in stock:

Check out the ISK HF2010.

I'll pick these over the HI2050 any day! They carry velour ear pads just like the 2050's and has a sound signature between the ISK HP2011 and ISK MDH9000 that's easy to please!

I agree !  the closed back models have a little too much bass. A little inflated. Nice but not linear.
Any idea if  hf2010 and hi2050 share same drivers ?
they look impressively similar.
I will try to get a pair soon.
Thanks a lot,  gino

But do they have the same small-ish headband? I can't fit the hi-2050 over my head for the live of it :S

I wouldn't put any trust in differencies that small. It's a very well known "trick" to slightly change the specs in rebranded products to make them appear different.

Hi ! actually no sorry
redface.gif
i missed them.  Thanks a lot indeed !
I had the hi2050 and broke them trying to rewiring them.
I really liked them ... but i was disappointed by the wires inside ... shameful. Maybe i am wrong but i believe in the importance of good wires.
I am not saying that they must be silvery, but at least decent. I would paid 20 USD more for a decently wired HPs.
I am sure one day i will build a pair myself.  With spare parts taken all around.
I have already some idea.  So finally i could use a decent cable ... nothing fancy.  Just a decent minicable like the one used for mics.
The  best are really excellent ! an example ...

The Isk look better built ?
Thanks a lot again

True, but I'm not just going by the specs.....They really do extend better on top with livelier vocals and the bass is faster and more detailed. Soundstage is also bigger and spacious when comparing both.
.....hope you get to check them out someday.

Would really help if we could have a couple of graphs comparing the two, the mind can play tricks on you after all

These are the manufacture's GRAPHS for both the ISK HF2010 and the Takstar HI2050.

ISK HF2010

Takstar HI2050

.....I wouldn't go by graphs alone, I have both and they both sound great! But, my money's on the ISK HF2010; soundstage is bigger, details are clearer, and vocals are closer to being more realistic (and not too conjested and busy, as what I hear with the HI2050). Since they both have velour earpads, the HF2010 bass tends to even-out better and in return the vocals and treble shines.

Just my 2 pesos.....

Thanks! Are the headbands of the two the same?

Pretty much.....yes!
Wow, that's a pretty big bass hump on the ISK..............

Yea, I know....I thought the same thing, too! But, in fact it doesn't sound much greater quantity in bass than the HI2050. Probably, because the velour ear pads helps to settle and balance it out.
