My new 4Ai+ and Tzar 350 + Rendition 1 .............. They sound great :)

Any comparison with other portable amplifiers and the Rendition 1 would be appreciated.

I found the (beta version of) the Rendition 1 to be neutral, adding just a greater sense of space and separation over the amp in my DX100. I have to return it as it was just a preview sample, but I might have to get the final version some day...

I am falling more and more in love with the Tzar 350 - Sounds like I'm plugging the music straight into my brain. But your post confuses me - I assume you mean the 4.A (not i) and Tzar 350 right? If you have talked The Wizard into making a custom Tzar 350 I demand to know how!

In Canada I got tapped for about $85 if I recall.  Which is ridiculous, but less than I expected.  As ardgedee says none of this is under Heir's control.  It's ridiculous import tarifs and taxes and BS imposed by the local government.

I paid somewhere around $35 in customs duties.

The $55 shipping is the cost of packing and shipping the item. It does not include the duties fee, which is assessed based on the declared value of the item. The assessment is set by the government and they get the money; UPS is only responsible for collecting it on delivery.

True. But let's not get into that discussion. It always gets kinda intense in a matter of seconds

And one side of the discussion has firearms. So let's get back on track, shall we guys?
