Sansa Fuze boot time with SD card

Does Fuze boot time slow down with SD card, by how much? Does albums on the card exist in a separate folder?
 
Does Rockbox improve sq without eq turned on?  There is Fuze v1 and v2, I assume these mean firmware that I don't need to bother.
