Well I know this sounds crazy but I just ran across these on amazon and I must say they intrigue me.

They look like a normal headband but they have speakers on the side and a cord for your music device. I'm wondering if their any good and I know it might be a lost cause but does anyone have this item?

Resurrecting this ancient thread because I thought I'd mention how I approached
sleeping with 'phones and specifically the Tooks Sportec Band ...

I resisted buying these for myself, but asked for them from my spouse
as a present this past Christmas .. I carefully thought about it,
and had decided I would try swapping out the driver speakers ...
by getting them as a git, if I was stuck with the originals, no big deal !!

Long story short ... a VERY tight fit squeezing them into the slotted opening
for pulling the speakers out for washing, but I replaced the original Tooks
supplied speakers with Koss KSC75 drivers.

Longer story ... the Tooks drivers stay in place with a small piece of Velcro
that sticks to the fabric ... loosen with your finger to slide out the driver.

The KSC75 was such a tight fit through the slot, I didn't use any Velcro
on them ... I rely on the little plastic hooks that hold the normal earpad in place
to offer some "grab" on the fabric inside the Took Band.

So remove the earpads and the earhook from the KSC75 drivers,
and cursing and moaning stretch the fabric and slip the KSC75 drivers
through the slot. and work them into place.

For nighttime use in bed, I am quite happy ... there is some slight
readjustment needed to fine tune the ear/driver alignment when I put
them on, but they work quite well for the purpose. If using them outdoors,
particularly with gloves, I might re-think my decision not to use Velcro, but
I haven't really tried them in active activities to see how stable they are.

I unfortunately never tried the stock drivers ... so cannot comment on their quality.
Koss KSC75s are of course well known drivers.
