I'm sure most of you will have experienced this in the past. When out and about, exspecially on a windy day or when out on my bike I am constantly annoyed by the wind drowning out the sound form my MD/PCDP whatever....
Well I just got a pair of Shure E2c's today and I think i've found the answer to my problem
I had to go out for some groceries this afternoon and I walked the 2 miles to the local store in a stiff breeze and wasn't bothered once by the wind (the dog that attacked me was another matter
)
So that's a thumbs up for the isolation on the E2s.
I've not really listened to them that much yet but so far I like the sound. They are not too analytical. Bass is very much their strong point. Midrange is so-so, perhaps a little coloured? Treble is also a little rolled off but i've always found this to be so with canal phones.
Overall i'm happy with them. I think I should have gone for the E3s but for casual listening whilst out and about they are fine. I'm probably going to plump for the Ety ER4s this weekend anyway so I can't see the E2s getting too much heavy use.
