Lately my DT770/600 have gotten little dirty, I dont mean the earpads but the plastic/metal(?) parts, some dirt that you could scratch off but I'd prefer some faster method if there is, how do you guys keep your headphones clean? Should I try with some warm water wet towel and rub it against the dirty parts? Get alcohol or something and rub with that? I want these to regain their sparkliness once again, so tips are appreciated.

Best closed headphones I had heard - very flat response, almost no midrange distortion, very easy to drive (good for portable), good soundstage (definately better than K240), good isolation, but...

Overall excellent buds, very good sound quality, especially for their price, the medium set of tips fits exactly in my ears and provides a near perfect seal. Bass is very detailed, but not...

I'll keep this very short. They are very smooth sounding. Treble toned down so not so good for rock but have a magic about them that makes them better than mark 2. I use them with a '89/'90...

First, I should note that I auditioned these both straight out of the box, without any break-in time and then later after 53 hours of break-in. Recent scientific studies have shown definite...

I use either warm soap and water or baby wipes.

rubbing alcohol always. rubbing alcohol will help clean all the deep oils and dirt that build up from everyday use. depending how oily you get i would clean them everyday at end of day when your done using them,or atleast the earpads. leather and the cheaper pleather stuff cracks and deteriorates over time if not taken care of cause it absorbs every single amount of oils from your skin. it's important to keep them clean especially if you ever plan on trading them or selling them. people tend to use just water for quick clean and that doesn't help absorb all the deep oils to give it a good deep cleaning. velour pads i don't have much experience with but should be hand washed and air dried.
if the headphone uses real metals in anyway if you want to give it new look, brasso is great polisher and deep cleaner. smells like cat litter but gets the job done. if made out any type of real wood, old english will give it a deep cleaning and bring out the woods' natural color.
