Kindle Fire specs

Has anyone seen any Kindle Fire audio specs?  I'm planning to pick on up (mainly for web browsing purposes) and stream my entire library from Google Music.  I am mostly interested in the output impedance but any information or links would be helpful.

I have a new Fire and am quite pleased so far. It has a nice UI and the browser is quite fast.
The screen is gorgeous, with bright vivid colors.

Although it doesn't have a memory slot, I got 20gb of cloud storage with unlimited music storage for only $20/yr. You can upload your own music as well as what you buy from Amazon. SQ is excellent, but it only supports mp3 and AAC.

It is also easy to download books from my local library.

I don't know what the output impedance is. Video streaming via youtube and netflix is smooth and and free of glitches. A bargain for $199!.

What app do you use for library rentals? Overdrive?

I'm looking forward to picking one up. Google music lets you store 20k songs free and play from a web interface if Amazon doesn't get the app in their store.

I mainly listen to DD phones but will have the Merlin soon and don't want high impedance screwing with it.

I might get one soon too, was messing with one at best buy yesterday and thought it was good enough for $200. Hoping that the rumor of a black friday/cyber monday sale $99 is true.

I've been thinking of buying two of these for my kids for Christmas. (age 26 and 24) Sounds like you're pretty happy with yours.

Well I'll find out how it sounds soon enough. I just placed my order. My music library should be loaded to google music by the time I receive it.

Got it today and the first thing I've discovered is Amazon seems to be blocking the Google Music web interface. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it b/c of this...

Please let me know if that is the case or maybe it is some configuration error.

It's definitely the case. Whether or not it is intentional, I don't know. It could be a conflict with how google has the mobile site configured and how the amazon silk servers interact but it's definitely not accessable.

I returned mine today but I did like the UI. It was fast, responsive and simple. It also sounded good too. However I thought it was a little too heavy and thick for a 7" tablet.  If Amazon fixes the access to the google music web site and releases a thinned down 8.9" next year, as rumored, I'll rebuy.

Wow - I hope my boys aren't using Google Music. It seems to be a great gift for them. Thanks for clarifying!

You get 5gb of free Amazon cloud storage for anything not bought from Amazon and everything bought from Amazon is free storage, so depending on their music collection and where they've bought most of their digital music, that's a decent alternative.  I just spent 2 weeks uploading my entire collection to google music, and most songs were ripped from my cd collection, so it was kind of a deal breaker for me.  Hopefully they resolve it.
