13.5 mm? o.o;;

"5-24,000Hz" Wat. o.o Not to be a noob, but is that even possible in a cheap earbud?

And then there's the KM-93 and KM-92 all the stuffs brought up in the Mysterious Focalprice thread. So many purportedly awesome cheap earbuds! Someone needs to get them all and see how they match up. o.o I would, but I don't have enough left after getting the MEELectronics CX21P and the Audio-Technica ATH ANC23 @.@ And this thread's Monoprice 8320. I probably will try them over time though.

Also, somewhat unrelated:

because I saw this and thought "Holy hell that is GENIUS" and I'm going to try it as soon as my Monoprice 8320s come in.

So I just did a head to head against my other IEMs I use.
The JVC FXC51, JVC HAFX1X, The SONY EX41B, Monoprice 8320

All 4 are fun iems. The detail on the FXC51 are astounding for the price but they sound a bit thin and mids a bit recessed. Once eqed however these sound amazing. Treble happy guys would love the sparkle on the high end on these. The bass is very ample on these which is surprising. These sound is more what the community would consider a higher end sound especially eQed, For the price these are worth checking out. These mold to your sound preference with EQ and these are definitely worth a try. Long burn is absolutely required on these. I would do at least 100 hours.

The HAFX1X. Monster Bass, warm full forward sounds on these. Perhaps a bit too much. These are definitely a guilty pleasure Iem. Nothing technical about them they bring a level of Bass that will surprise anyone. These are just a blast to get lost in your bassy tunes with and worthy of the $25 or so Amazon charges for these. The full body warmth and surprising forward mids and highs lend these to a Fun sound signature. The bass is unreal on these., as far as I know I haven't heard a bassier IEM. These also require at least 50 hour burn

Sony EX41B. These are smooth sounding but the mids are recessed. These are the closest to the sound signature of the monoprice..Where the monoprice wins clearly for me is the better mids. The Bass is also very comparable. The Sonys have a a bit more bass but with less mids. The highs are surprisingly full on these after burn in. As most headphones in the XB line they are not known for having defined highs but these are an improvement over their previous EX40B which was stated to have some recessed highs and mids. The mid bass hump on these do bleed into the recessed mids on these. They aren't bad but not great either. For anyone interested in these I would get a monoprice 8320 every time.

The Monoprice 8320.. These sit in the middle of the JVCs. They have good detail and imaging. Fuller sounding than the FXC51 but with less bass of the HAFX1X which is not a bad thing. Actually truth be told I think a majority of bassy  Iems will have less bass than the FAX1X. These do sound a bit brighter than the Sonys but the full bass on the 8320 adds a touch of warmness to the mids which I like a lot listening to bassy tunes.  Great stereo separation and good balance for a bassy iem.  The FXC51 would be on the cold sounding side of the fence in comparison. Bass not as big as the HAFX1X but absolutely not lacking in that department at all. Sub bass extension just as good..The better balanced full mids with good detail of the monoprice has me grabbing them all the time over the others.

Somone should send pair of these to Joker to be added to his massive IEM thread.  That would give some experienced perspective as to how they compare to everything else in the same price range.

I repackaged these and turned around and sold them off as quick as I got them. I bet these are skull candy rebrands. The very definition of mudd.. Send one to your hated nephew. They will be glad to hear low quality mudd for sounds and you can tell them these are better than skull candies.

I just ordered mine. I'd be mad salted if I fell for another FOTM.

Be mad about a IEM that you buy for $200 that ends up sucking. Not one that cost $7.11 that don't.  If you guys end up getting them if you all don't think they are at least a great buy for what they are. There is something wrong with you.. These aren't high end phones but they sound high end and that is what is up with these. Spend some head time with your favorite tracks and you all will understand.

Might have to do that. Will see how the rest of the guys like em..I doubt these monoprice are going to compete with the more refined high end IEMs but for the cost. Some one show me something better.. The other IEMS I showed in the comparo don't sound better than these and all 3 are way more expensive..

Just kidding. Subscribed, and curiously awaiting more impressions. Any <$10 IEM that kicks butt is surely worth a try.

Ya you are like a light to me my friend.. I have many I consider friends here at head fi and you are definitely one of them. I think I have some enemies too however. There was a poster earlier on this thread that just hated that I threw up a $7.11 IEM and was mocking my thread here. Can't please everyone I suppose.. I hope these little gems won't let you down. Lol!!

Went ahead and ordered 2. Might order more if they impress me enough :)

Wait till you guys hear some Trance on these..It is as close to Trance perfection as it gets. Clean full bodied detailed, good strong bass. Anything more would definitely be colored. Nice well defined highs..Music just sounds like it is supposed to with these.. I know guys that like mids and highs over big bass might think there might be a bit too much bass on these you can lower the bass end eQ to get your sound preference.. I think it is middle porridge for bass. Just right..I also noticed for guys that might want a bit more bass emphasis.. Just throw on 4 to 6db of eQ on the bass end of your EQ and them bass notes will be proper for you..They eQ well and sound better than anything what you guys would consider thinking is a good sound for a sub $10 earphone.

As far as bigger drivers go, the Philips SHE5920 have 15mm for $22. http://www.amazon.com/Philips-SHE5920-Virtual-Surround-Headphones/dp/tech-data/B000QS0ZH4/ref=de_a_smtd I used to love them before i got in Hi-FI, i always knew i wanted sound quality but this was top of the budget for me, maybe i should recable some broken ones and audition them now that i now what good sound sounds like.  They do use weird tips though.
Also i live like two blocks away from the monoprice building, so i can pick up stuff without shipping cost if you guys are interested in a group buy to the UK or something and monoprices shipping would cost more than if i shipped them.
I probably order them today.

That is really cool that you can do pickups from the building. Where is it located?
