Muchas gracias for your answer, putente!

What tip size of the stock silicone tips (S, M, L) of other IEMs has given you the best fit?

None, as I just use foams! They provide the comfort and the type of sound I enjoy! I'm a foam tip believer...

Ok, I can say I was using the EPH-100 with the prefitted stock medium bi-flange tips, but I never found them confortable! Now that I have the foams for them, never again...

Still, it would help to know which size would of those stock silicone tips would be the right one for you.  This answer and the other information that you have included in your post, would give me a lot of help in deciding which size of foam tips I should get.

Well, I already told you about the EPH-100, but that's the only IEM I used with silicone tips, because I hadn't any other option until now! About my other IEM's, with the GR07 I just used the stock foam tips, next were the Jays Foams and now I'm using this medium size ones from eBay (with a little mod), which I find more comfortable. As for my RE-262, I just use them with the large size tips from eBay, but they're also fine with the medium size ones...

Well the strangest thing has happened to my eph-100. The right earbud has suddenly lost a whole lot of volume and gone quiet however the next day all is fine and balanced again. It has done this twice so far, different sources and not listening at loud volumes...

How strange is that, normally something dies/breaks and stays dead/broken.

Mine did the exact same thing and it was the right side also and the next day it was fine and it hasn't happened again.  I thought I did something to the cable but theres no split or anything in it so I have no clue why it did that.

Well this wasn't a small decrease it was very noticeable to the point that it was hard to hear the right side at my normal listening volume.

The decrease in volume can be noticeable, if holes are  obstructed. What I notice, is that despite the volume imbalance between left/right , none  of the sides were completely muted in your description.

Before I got tied up with emails I was searching a few pages back for a third this has happened too. And he made an interesting point that although the sound doesn't go out completely it drops out almost instantly without warning or slowly degrading.

Did yours drop out gradually Techno Kid? or was it a sudden effect?

No it was instant.  I didn't use them for a full 24 hours then I put them in and the sounded fine again.

Same here, and this was no holes covered up issue as it persisted when removed from ears. All I can think of is something like an electronic overheat as I was using mine for hours both times before it cut out. Where you listening for ages too Techno Kid?

mine is doing it every few days now, the right ear suddenly goes really really quiet and a bit staticy to the point where it's almost off.

I took it out and blew through the holes on the nozzle, I actually think it's the insides being blocked by moisture. If you read back a little bit you'll see me and a few others getting this problem where there is a lot of buildup of moisture on the nozzle, and I suspected that it might stuff things up in the future. I also expected that there will be build up on the insides since there's no way that if it builds up on the outside, it wont also do it on the insides. I think it's actually blocking the insides and thus the sound is died down a lot until the moisture is gone.

Yea mine was definitely not the hole being block.  What ich1ban said about the moisture sounds like that might have been what happened because when mine went out it was when I put them on after I got out of the shower and the inside of my ears were still a little damp.  Maybe that also blocked the hole I don't know.

give it a suck and blow the next time, just take off the silicon eartip, wipe it a bit with some tissue, then blow through it and if it fixes it after you check the side holes which aren't blocked, pretty much confirms what I've said.

please let us know how you go though, cause mine worked after I did it once but haven't confirmed it yet.

the weird thing is that all 3 of us have had this happen on the right ear piece and not the left.
