Hello head-fi.org, I'm new to the community (I just made an account - new)

I am not an audiophile at all, but I was looking for headphones with a lot of bass. I've owned a lot of earbuds (lol vmoda bass freq and the Vibe, all really junk sadly.......... [junk because  their durability is terrible]).

The only real set of headphones I have owned is the ATH M30's, which I have used every day for the past two years for about 6+ hours a day. I compared them to my friend's M50's, and they sounded pretty close (bass-wise). Of course, the isolation of the M50's totally blew the M30's away.

Anyway, I listen to a lot of hardstyle/techno/dubstep (mostly dubstep). I want pretty deep bass (the deepest that I can think of at the moment is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1gz2yPmVa8. Sorry if you don't like the song, but just to let you know what level I'm at).

I haven't touched many other "good" headphones. The only other brand I have touched is Beats. Hehe. ANYWAY....

To the point: I was looking for a pair of headphones, preferably below or at 150 dollars (USD) that were really good with bass. I was looking mostly at the WS70's or DJ1 Pro.

I'd also prefer closed/circumaural headphones, but I'm open to anything.

Any feedback or info from you guys is great. Thanks!

The Ws70 does not have a lot of bass and is an on ear set, the DJ1 series has a load of bass and is in fact over the ear, but its much larger and heavier than the audio technica

I suggest the Denon D1100.  The denon fits all of your needs, it has loads of powerful bass, is small and light but still over the ear. :D
