So I bought some ATH-M50s the other day for 60 bucks on craigslist ( I already checked the hardware to see if they were real, they were). I bought a 3.5mm terminal the next day and modded them to be cableless.

I thought I could make my own 3.5mm male to male cables for myself, but I've been unsuccessful too many times. Turns out I SUCK at soldering ( I stopped after having burnt a physical hole in my finger with the soldering iron).

So can you guys help me find some nice looking 3.5mm male to male cables 3ft / 6ft / 15ft. I wanted some thick colored cables/shield, but I also don't want to pay over 50 bucks for it. Where do I even start?

I've already searched the forum and found the braided colored Auvios at Radioshack

and the Beats replacement cable =/

Are these my only reasonable choices if I can't make my own?

p.s. If you know of a 3.5mm male jack that's nice looking and easier to solder, please tell.

Soldering isn't that hard with the proper tools.  Make sure you have a good quality wire stripper to start with, I recommend the blue Klein Tools one from Home Depot that does 20 to 30 awg stranded wire.  Get some liquid flux to tin your wire with - or paste flux - dip your wires into it after you strip them then tin them with solder so the strands are locked down properly.  Get a set of "helping hands" from radioshack - a little clip stand to hold your plug and cable steady while you solder...soldering is pretty well impossible without one of those.  You can use the same flux on the mini plug to prep the contacts then put a little solder on them ahead of time.  Then, with a little more solder on your soldering iron, liquify the solder on the contact and press the tinned wire end onto the contact, then quickly remove the heat and blow on it to solidify the solder joint.  Practice makes perfect.  Always keep the tip cleaned with a brass wool sponge or a wet regular sponge and tinned whenever you're trying to solder anything - a dirty or dry tip can't do anything.

Oh man, I emailed the seller but he never replied... So you're the one who ninja'ed them from me.

Do you still have the cable and plugs? I'm up in North Austin if you need help soldering.
