Hey, look! People other then me that enjoy treble! Everywhere I go, it's bassboost this, huge bass that, but no treble to be seen anywhere! Now though, now I've found you people.

YAY FOR TREBLEHEADS!

Hmmm, my full-size list has basically been "Sony SA5000 -> STAX SR-404 -> Audio Technica A2000X -> Tesla T5p"

A couple users have commented "whoa, brightness/clarity".

IDK...

I think those TakeT "BATMASTER" products should be added to the list... after all... hypersonic frequencies are treble... right?

Some of us are sensitive to ultra-treble, we don't hear it, we feel it, in our face.

This is documented with blind people that become trebleheads, and "listen" through their face to echolocate, they can sense the presence of an object, via UHF.

Remember, humans evolved from the ocean, millions of years ago we had to listen to treble to eat:

I think that's why I liked the SA-5000, it was "tasty" to me.

It has one of the flattest FR's in an IEM I've ever seen!!
I guess flat = treble, since MDR-V6 is on the list here too.

Thinking back to that one thread about proper EQ, one's natural HRTF tends to add treble peaks for some reason. Most of the measurements we see have the dummy head's HRTF factored in already...

For that matter, Stax Lambdas in general look pretty flat FR-wise, especially if you go by the Inner Fidelity graphs, yet people consider them to be treble-emphasized in general. The perceived lack of bass impact (not volume, they have that; it's probably a side effect of electrostatics not throwing air like dynamics) doesn't help things.

I'm no treblehead (I aim for balance), but I understand the feeling about being surrounded by bassheads. BASSHEADS EVERYWHERE. (Especially when they drive by the street with subwoofers on full blast and you can hear it inside your house, several yards away.)

Bass alone just isn't music to me, yet I keep seeing headphones like XB500s that need significant EQ to do anything else reasonably well.

Koss UR40 at least the old ones without the titanium drivers. I havent broken in the latest titanium version since getting them about a month and a half ago so i cant say how trebly they are. They do have more bass then the previous version.

Koss Pro-4AA buetiful honey like smooth treble which sounds very natural and clear without that skating on ice sound my Audio Technica Ath-AD700 have.

Sweet thanks! I've added them to the list.
