Hello
I live in Canada and i want to buy a nice headphone.
First of all, I was looking for the sennheiser hd201, but they are 40$ on amazon.ca and 50$ in local store (Overpriced since American can buy them for 19.99$).
I also sawthe JVC rx700 for 47.66.
Is there other headphones to consider below 50 $ (now shipping and tax are all included, so its about 42$ in a local store for 50 total)?

So my budget is around the 30 or 50 max with tax and shipping fees.

I won't use them all time, only when my family go to bed and im still awake, Im forced to close my speaker.
So I want pretty much balanced headphones because im going to play game (BF3

) listen to music (metal, rock, hardstyle) and even talk on vent or skype.

What is important to look in the headphones spec such as :
-Frequency Response
-Sensitivity

Edit: Im not so hard in audio, but clear and nice audi is kinda important. So my old head phone when my family go to bed was this Crapy headset.
I also tyed the audiotechnica ATH-M50 of my friend and the beats studio of another and I liked way more the ATH-M50

thanks

Don't get the HD201 it is pretty much the worst headphone that Sennheiser make, it is good for
well - shot putting it into the bin once you get it out of the box

You're going to have to try pretty hard to get a worse headphone and I've listened to some crap
in my time.

Consider the Panasonic Rp HTF600 for that price.

I'd go for the JVC's. They are comfy, solid built, and improve with some tweaks on the equalizer.

well the panasonic Rp HTF600 cannot be sold in canada for less then 60$ total, and its a bit overbudget.

I can also consider Used product in this forum!

Edit: yeah I could mod the JVC with some tutorial on the web

World is your oyster then!

Plenty of bargains in that price range, everything from a 2nd hand Grado SR80i, Shure 440

Might be within or just out of your price range ~ best headphone (closed) I've heard in
that price range would be the Beyer Dynamic DT235.

Looks pretty ordinary, sounds anything but.

Well I like the Shure 440, they are 100$ but used, it could be interresting

They have a small soundstage when compared to the JVC's and over your budget as well. Unless you want to save more money and buy something different.
Hey you need some decent cans for BF3

You can buy the RP-HTF600-S on Amazon and have them shipped to Canada (I checked).

So by the moment, you are telling me that its the panasonic Rp HTF600, JVC HA-RX700 and the shure440 to consider?

As the shure 440 are 100$ and they have a smaller sound stage, I should not consider since i need good sound stage for gaming too...
The Panansonic are cool, but they are 10$ more then my budget.

So is the RX700 the way to go with 50$ in canada?

It seems like the HARX700's is the way to go. You want more soundstage? do the foam mod. Believe me...They are good for gaming.

Amazon sells the Panasonic RP-HTF-600-S for $30.
I would assume shipping would be under $20.

Yeah, normally , when people don't try to make money on shipping it is less then 20$ shipping. Also the store that sell item on Amazon.com don't want to hear anything about shipping to Canada.
So I think il go with the jvc ha-rx700 and do the mod if need. They are plenty mod i can do such as add foam to the earpad, foam on the internal plastic and add some aluminum (don't understand it quite enough but ill read)

If I buy the JVC , ill do a post on how I modded those...
