I own the HD800 for some years now, and feel sometimes, it lacks some slam and punch.
Did the Anaxilus mod allready.
I listen to rock and metal quit a bit.
See signature for amp and dac.
What do you guys recommend?
Make a "upgrade" to LCD 2 or LCD3?

If you want slam and punch, I'd personally go for LCD-2 over LCD-3.

In this case you should also consider the LCD-X

I have mine for a fair amount of months now, but it still feels sturdy like the first day I got it.

So how can I tell if my LCD3 has this "fazor" upgrade?
I had the drivers replaced about 8 months ago and it came back sounding great, but I'm just curious.

They started putting them in at the end of December, so you won't have them.
