I am looking for the link to that place where...someone.... showed all of those Etymotic mods?

And he had a six foot gold-plated radio shack cable that he had modded to be able to change the ER4P's to ER4S's for sale.....

Where was that link again??

Also, you can PM Head-Fi member Daniel Pumphrey, who also makes them. If I remember correctly, Dan and FixUp take different approaches to the "adapter" cable. Dan uses the same resister specs as Etymotic, while FixUp uses a different value that he prefers.

I PM'd Daniel SEVERAL times about this and he never even acknowledged receiving any messages from me. I took this as an indication that he wasn't interested in making these cables. Then again maybe he just didn't want to have anything to do with me.

They're easy enough to make, but I was interested in the high quality materials that he seemed to be using. Anyway, I ended up making several of my own with different values.

BTW, the 120 ohm adaptor that comes with the Porta Corda works nicely with the Ety4P's as well. Maybe Jan Meier would be interested in selling some of those by themselves?

LOL! For what it's worth, Kevin, I wasn't successful in reaching Dan by PM, either -- I'm not sure he uses it. I used the "Send an email" function in his profile

Dan just made me one a couple of months ago (works like a charm!). FWIW, I also had no luck with PM but he did respond to my E-mail.

I also e-mailed Daniel a few months ago and he replied about a month later. He said he would build one for me, however, by that time, I had already procured one through the fixup site. He indicated that he is very busy working on his new amp design and really didn't want to mess with it (which I totally understand). He's a busy guy!
