Hey there guys :) next paycheck I've decided to buy a couple of headphones as my current ones aren't doing the job (k450, meem6). I want a pair of over ear and a pair of iems for more portable use. Ive pretty much decided to go for the hd25-1 ii for the over ears as I've heard alot of great things about them. I would like an iem that isn't too hard to drive as my setup is just an iPhone 4 and a Fiio e1 amp. For sound sig I want nice full (but not overbearing, fatiguing, and muddy) bass response, with forward, clear mids and sparkly highs. I don't want the iem to be too critical in nature but also not too fun and fake sounding (if you know what I mean). There's so many iems out there these days so I'm not really sure on any as of yet so some suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Oh and I listen to alot of hip hop, metal, alternative, classic rock, alternative, and electronic music. Thanks!

Of what I've heard, I'd personally recommend the Shure SE535, Sony EX1000, Vsonic GR07, and the Miles Davis Trumpets, all of which (more or less) suit your preference, based on the above statements. I'm sure others can suggest alternatives, based on what they own, or have heard. Of the aforementioned, each one has been covered in-depth in our friend |joker|'s multi comparison thread, which should help point you in the right direction. Nevertheless, each of the aforementioned are solid performers, in their own respect. I'm sure you'd be just as content with any one. All the best my friend!
