yes. i think i9000 = galaxy S

but i like wave better : metall frame, smaller overall size, bada op system.

is it possible to load on the BADA system the voodoo ? i mean Wave it NOT Android phone. but i think it also has wolfson 8994 chip inside. wave II too ?

what is poweramp app ? is it free ?

and voodoo ? where can i get it ?

how this samsungs compare to highend players ?

can it play flacs too ?

I found to be the Galaxy S (i9000) perfect as a portable player. With Voodoo Control it improves a lot the already excellent sound.

Im not quite sure about the Wave specs, but on the Galaxy S Rooted phones, you can install the voodoo control for free, and the poweramp music player is paid and its only $5-6 I guess.

Voodoo control can help you manage the sound and everything while

PowerAmp is really a great music player :D

Definetely go for galaxy s. I have had both galaxy s and samsung wave. While samsung wave sounds good it is no match for galaxy s with voodoo sound. I haven't compared it with iphone but it beats my ipod classic by a huge margin.. the sound is very clear without any hiss .. dynamic range is great.. it shoudl take about half an hour to read tutorrials and root the phone.. but the result will definetely exceed the effort.

galaxy sounds interesting for sure. but there is cowon j3 and sflo.

what is the exact order in SQ ? i mean flac with low impedance can.

its quite surprising that the ipod classics fails against a phone but i can imagine it, that its true.

Hello,

Apparently the Wave I (S8500) got quite an impressive audio quality according to GSMArena : http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_s8500_wave-review-480p6.php

Test Frequency response Noise level Dynamic range THD IMD + Noise Stereo crosstalk
Samsung S8500 Wave +0.03 -0.04 -90.9 90.9 0.016 0.020 -92.5
Samsung I9000 Galaxy S +0.03 -0.04 -90.7 90.6 0.014 0.019 -90.6

wow thanks for the link. looks like wave can do badass sound with the bada system.

the only question is that: is it possible to install poweramp and voodoo onto the bada OS ?

SOMEBODY HELP ME !

the other choice is: sflo or j3

Thats weird. i had a wave and i can tell you. the sound quality sounded narrow. stuffy and saturated. maybe my phone was defective but it sounded really bad coming from a clip and  a cowon S9

I had a Cowon D2 and a Sansa Fuze and found the Galaxy S to be the best player.

wow I didn't even know my wave was that good as an audio player haha, have to try it to see, but i highly doubt it can compete with J3.

These are unloaded measurements. Aka the sound the player outputs when plugged to an active amplifier. It does says nothing about the player performance when plugged to headphones.

So basically, if you use it with a Fiio or another headphones amp, that would be the same no? (That's a real question ;))
