Agreed, they are good but sometime it sounds too 'natural' for me, I still prefer my MTPC/TF10/UE700 over GR07, but I do prefer GR07 over my W3

GR07 cable is the second best IEM cable IMO, with the best being my TF10's Null Audio Arete

So with about 300 hours or better on these GR07 now, it is really something to hear!! The soundstage seems to have widened with even greater clarity and details. The GRO7 still does drums better than ANY universal I have heard, but I'm picking up even better instrument separation and black space.

Are these my best sounding universal IEMs overall? I have to say no. I think the RE262 is still winning that battle for my ears, but it's a very very very close number 2 (with the W4 right there and the FXT90 not too far behind)... The GR07 has a very addictive sound, and the bass has opened up nicely too...(nice deep sub-bass)...

eric, what changed you mind that the GR07 are ahead of FXT90? More hours of burn in?

Olear, more burn-in has something to do with it, but really it's just preference in sound signature. See, it's not all of one or the other with me. The FXT90 is still great to me. But I'm really a drums an percussions man (my favorite instruments), and I feel the GR07 render those instruments with the most realistic and natural sound in a universal. But I don't want my statements to come across as I think the FXT90 is bad. The JVC actually does some things better than the GR07 (example: there are some micro details I hear in the FXT90 that I don't hear in the GR07). It's about preference of sound, sir. Happy listening...
