I think so. but i'm still curious because I think my tastes are not rock solid and may change depending on time of day, music, moods...  And  i'm curious by nature

I'm trying to decide if I should just get the pro 750, or save up a bit longer and get the pro 900. Any thoughts? Also I almost pulled the trigger on the HFI 780 last night. They were listed on amazon for $130, but I decided to sleep on it and when I woke up they were back to $150...

From what I understand those two are pretty different. I would figure out which one is better suited for you, rather than just assume the 900 is better. I haven't heard either, but I would rather have the 750 personally.

The Pro 900 quite a bit more V-shaped than the Pro 750, which is actually more balanced than expected.

It all comes down to what one is looking in terms of signature.

Yes I listen to edm exclusively, but I particularly like House and techno and many of there subgenres. I will have a fiio E11 for portable use and the Schiit Magni and Modi from my PC.  I also love that you called him Alex haha!

chuckle490, if you only listen to EDM, then I would suggest you wait a bit longer and get the Pro 900, as they simply excel with EDM, beyond what the Pro 750 can do.

I personally don't think so. Given that you have clear preferences, skipping middleground cans would be a smart decision from a financial perspective. And if you do enjoy the overall XB500 signature, then you certainly will enjoy the Pro 900 impactful sound as well as the bass quality that's well beyond what the XB500 does, along with nice quantity.

Well considering the HE 400 would only cost $75 more would that be even better?

You might wanna ask someone who has owned both headphones to really know; I know MLE has (or had) both these headphones and even wrote reviews about them. You could PM him.
