Please post some impressions when they arrive!

Ditto! My own Miracle should be here within a month's time (assuming all goes as planned), but I'd love to read a head to head comparison between the Miracle and Merlin.

As would I. I ordered the Merlins though so I just hope that after a comparison I don't feel the need to also purchase a Miracle

Merlin vs MG6Pro comparison would be good too.

I haven't seen many reviews on the MG6Pro so it might be a while before someone hears both, but I'd be very interested in this comparison.

im loving my tf10 with null audio enyo cable. and im taking a leap of faith with the um merlin. or at least i think i am, i wanna know if anybody can do a direct comparsion  between the both.

The TF10 sounds nothing like the Merlin. I personally much prefer the Merlin, but that is due to my tastes.

I don't have the TF10 anymore, so I'm going mostly by memory, but the Tf10 is much grainier compared to the Merlin in general.  More to point, the sound signature is significantly different -- TF10s have very sweet highs, recessed mids, and solid tight bass. The Merlins have a much smoother, airy quality to the highs, but they are not very emphasized. Mids on the other hand are not recessed much and are very liquid, not quite forward but very good emphasis on the mids. Bass is plentiful, has an airy enveloping feel and doesn't have the hard edge the TF10's bass has.

I can only do a quick dirty comparison right now, hope that helps.

I've still not heard back about the demos yet. I'm struggling to decide what to do though!

I'm trying to sell off some IEMs to raise funds for another custom but I'm undecided on the Merlin due to there being a mix of positive and negative impressions. Other options are the Miracle, MG6Pro or selling some organs to fund a JH16. Perhaps I should just be happy with the ACS T1 and not buy anything? Naaah this is Head-Fi!

I think with any IEM or headphone you are going to have some people who have issues with them, for whatever reason. Usually if a headphone does most everything pretty well (like the V-MODA M-80 for example) that means it appeals to a wider variety of people.... yet the fact that it isn't completely amazing in any particular area means it won't be a match for what some folks are seeking.

Or to put it another way - something like a Pro 900 will REALLY appeal to certain people, but will leave lots of others cold. If you changed the sound to accommodate the group who didn't like it, you would have a good chance of alienating the first set of fans. So unless you are doing a total redesign and selling for a much higher price, you have to make a choice.

I think Merlin has potential to satisfy a lot of people, but I won't pretend it is perfect for everyone. Unfortunately I have no experience with the ACS T1 so I can't compare. I'm sure it is pretty nice though.

That sounds amazing.  Cannot wait for the Merlins.  Thanks for this.

Hi Jeremyh,

How would you describe the Miracles compared to the Triplefi 10?

miracles > tf 10

jokes aside, im not really good at the explaining ( not good with terms and acronyms) but if your looking at more bass, merlin is way better. but if you want better mids or highs( im not too sure bout this) get the miracle (less dark compared to merlin).
then again, these are solely my opinion.

It's alright. Do the miracles sound "fun" like the TF10 or do they sound more clinical? And on a scale of 1 to 10, how will you rate both IEMs based only on sound quality (disregard price, comfort, looks, etc).
