Initial render design picture of E17

I'm only asking for two reasons.
 
1-It would seem odd to design the E17 and not have it match up w/ the X3 precisely as a set since that seems like the original intent.
2-I'm still trying to coax some figures out on the X3.  =P

Haha, the original plan is indeed to have E17 be a possible 'upgrade' for the X3, but given the backplate of X3 is no longer flat (due to the increase in battery size) and the height of X3 has been increase (also because of the battery, I believe), I don't think it will be a one-to-one match anymore, but they should be close enough.

Wait, what?  Are you serious?  I hope you mean it's flat but elevated by the bevel around the edge.  If the back is curved like the original Stepdance I'm out.  This whole redesign to accommodate people that whine about their batteries to get a few more hours is really getting to me.

 It looks so nice, it's like ART! Can't wait for this one as well. A great match for the X3.

I just checked the 1st page of the X3 thread and yeah....it's a diamond!!!!! Still have a flat surface though.

so it's an upgrade to E17? AMP/DAC? With the delay of the X3 it seems that this'll be out 2012. I wish the X3 had this shape rather than the elongated one but I'm still gonna get it anyway =p

X3 will be released in 2011. this shape can not be use on X3 because the space is not enough, and X3 need to install TF slot and bigger TFT displayer.
 
We will sell E17 and E7 at the same time, but amp, dac all is different with E7. you can expect a noticeable SQ and more features in E17, of course, the price will be noticeable too!

I would like to see a line-out on the E17 as well. It was the one thing that kept me from buying the E7.
