Why is that? They're not THAT different.

The soundstage, treble, and clarity all bugged me with the rev1. The vocals were too forward for my taste and the stage was too claustrophobic. All these things were improved on with the rev2. While they are all small changes, they all added up to more

enjoyable listening.

I preferred Rev1 (by a small margin)

I slightly preferred rev2 even the difference between the two versions is not much.

neither.

those leather ear cups would be WAY too hot on a desert island.

so i'll take IEMs.

Yeah they get pretty sweaty here in the Sonoran Desert for sure.

Although they share the same house sound I felt the differences to be large.

I agree with your comment above, LCD 2 R 2 is so clear and clean and more detail, that i can hear the individual instrument very detail compare to my R 1

specially fopr classic music, the soundstage so wide and i can hear more detail woth my LCD 2 R 2

Very small preference for the slightly more "refined" twin Rev. 2.

is the revised LCD2 just a tweaked driver. if so, i doubt the differences between ver 1 and ver 2 are that much.
