I know this may sound a bit weird, but have anyone here gotten lost into listening to their music that they don't realize how much time has passed? I just recently purchased a valhalla amp after buying a pair of dt880s 600ohms a few months back. Oh man, did that that amp make a difference. Right when the shipment came to my house, I opened it up and gave it a test drive, the next time I know, about 2 hours have passed by.

Just curious if anyone else have experienced this!

My Westone ES5's gets me to do that automatically so I have to think before I use them.

Yes, I get lost in the music.

I can get lost in the music but most often I get lost in thoughts that are emotionally backed up by the music. I contemplate too often. I wonder too often. I think too much about too little too often. For me, the music is usually a backing track to these thoughts.

Being lost in music helps me find myself.

I think i do at times. Sometimes late at night I am driving on a major highway and listening to some music that has hypnotic qualities like long passages of improvisation or some kind of dreamy psychedelic pop music from the 60s or 70s and I end up missing the exit that I'm supposed to get off. In that case, yes I was lost in the music and forgot about which exit ramp I was supposed to enter.

Listening to Mahler's 5th Adagietto just mesmerises.

Also violin concertos by the BIG THREE (Brahms, Bruch & Mendelssohn).

Even though I have quite a few headphones better than the Senn HD600 and beyer DT880 05 they both sometimes send me to cloud nine like the others don't...

For myself I would include Beethoven and Paganini's first. Yup, on the HD600.

I sometimes get lost in the music, but generally take a wrong turn and get lost in thought instead.
