Absolutely agreed. Fit is great both cable up or down even without channel swapping.

The FXT90 are vented. Fit is surprisingly good despite the odd shape and shallow insertion.

That is nice to know thanks, for your help. I just ordered a pair from Ali-express. At 30€ its a steal. I hope they are indeed original and have no defects though.

NP....hope you like them. They're a pretty enjoyable IEM. The clamshell case is actually a lot more versatile and durable than I was expecting too. Def a nice accessory.

So glad to observe this thread is still alive and kicking

After spending so many hours reading, I finally ordered a sample of the famous FXT90. I placed order in Japan through Amazon (FR). Delivery was made in a single week (so fast!) and I'm spending my first hours listening to the "the beast".

First impression raw out from packaging : explosive! Coming from a couple of years old Klipsch S4 (without any issue of any kind), I can feel a huge improvement in clarity and separation. I must admit nothing in my configuration helps in taming the FXT90 fiery temperament : NuForce  uDac3 at home, which is quite dynamic already, and Zip Clip+ when out.

For sure it's the first time I can hear Joss Stone or Jill Scott singing such crystal clear voices... Female voices are... I can't find any voice to tell you how female voices are, as they are so...

Oscar Peterson piano's attacks are slamming. Snare drums flap dry. George Benson's guitar sounds thick (texture) but runs light fast. Marcus Miller's slams are "Michael Jordanesque"! Really these little things have to calm down or else I won't be able to take them out of my ears!

I was not expecting enjoying that ones so much so fast. It must be the result of so many hours reading before making my decison

I was worrying a bit about bass rendering because I use to listen to reggae, dub and electro as well. I'm not disappointed at all.

Disappointment is more coming from Rock side : couple of Joe Jackson records I've got, Big World for example, sound like coming out from my first cassette tape Grundig mono player... Ouch!

Now time is coming for me to sleep and for these little things burn-in!!!

Next step is looking for more comfortable tips as well : included medium ones seem to provide appropriate fit for me, but all of them are making my ears itchy.

Not many posting here anymore, I just wanted to share some experience which may give some other people piece of mind when ordering cheap pairs off ebay.

I bought mine new from a U.S seller for about 50 USD with NO BOX. I was a bit concerned that they might be fake as there was some speculation on here. I feel I can put it to rest, as far as I'm concerned they sound the way others have described their boxed pairs. I had a pair of GR07's which recently broke and still have a pair of EPH-100 which I briefly A/B'd. I'm not one to get a new IEM and claim it's better than anything else I have. I prefer it to the EPH-100 for Jazz, but the highs are much more prominent and I don't think it's as good for hip hop as the treble can dominate the signature at times. The GR07 to me was leaner albeit slightly more sibilant, and I think still my favorite IEM i've owned, but for 50 bucks these JVC's are awesome bang for buck and I reckon if you're looking for something cheap and well made. Also, if you want lots of bass, the FXT90 aren't going to satisfy you, they're not light but compared to the EPH-100 they certainly sound it. I would say they are slightly behind on extension and quantity to my GR07 but seeing as I don't have them here to compare I can't say that with certainty.

I need more bi-flange tips for my pair(s) to back up the tips on my units. Does anyone have any recommendations? I don't know how to tell what type fits the the nozzle. Thanks.

Wow don't the biflanges ruin the highs for you? The did for me.

Anyhow I sold my FXT90 recently and have an extra pair of medium MEElec biflanges that fit them perfectly just sitting around...They are even a similar color (semitransparent grey).

Thanks for the speedy reply. The bi-flanges give me a more V-shape response than the stock tips. The treble, to my ears, is still excellent. I go between the stock and the bi-flange depending on the day. are you offering to send/sell them to me? Thanks, but I will probably do an order online. Thank you for the information.

Yeah I remembered after posting that they were dirt cheap brand new :)

Funny, I dislike the sound I get from them on any of my IEMs.They seem to give me a midbass hump and distorted highs with them...
