I just borrowed the American VI: Ain't No Grave album from my library today; I'll post the cover here if I recommend the album for use with the LCD-2.

My LCD-2s arrive later this week and I can't wait to re-discover my collection, while posting in this thread.

The two CDs that I demo'd with the Rev. 2 sounded fantastic:

Bill Evans Trio - Sunday at the Village Vanguard

These sessions (along with Waltz For Debby) are bonafide jazz must-haves in my opinion. On the LCD-2s, I've never heard Scott LaFaro's bass sound so textured and alive -- and presented so much in the foreground. You really get a good sense of the interplay between him and Evans.

Fleet Foxes - Fleet Foxes

Indie folk with a uniquely pastoral sound, this band manages to be completely fresh while being completely familiar.

This is a pop cd that had lots of good bass and of course the artist is really great as well...

In particular the kick drum on track 10, Burnin Love is really a good demo for showing off how solid the low end can be and sounds with LCD2's.

The whole cd is a real treat to really listen to the bass sounds and all the neat things happening.

Its very much 3 dimensional to me and totally becomes overwhelming at times.

I've gone through a lot of music with the LCD-2 and while I can't chose a favorite this one should NOT be missed!

Yup, I mentioned this earlier in the thread.  One of my all-time favorite albums!

Rachael Yamagata's Happenstance....

In the same vein, I would strongly recommend her Live album (Live at the Loft)

and then there's here schizophrenic but dynamic songmaking on disc 1 vs. disc 2 of Elephants, which were among my most-played albums last year:

Great stuff!  And with the LCD-2's you pick up a LOT of nuances that might otherwise be missed.  A great LCD-2 listening experience...
