I am looking to buy a new pair of headphones and I would like some suggestions. I currently own two pairs, Sennheiser HD 212's and 238's. I love the open sound of the 238's and they are perfect for listening to when I'm alone, but they leak too much sound when I'm around others. The 212's are closed but they are uncomfortable and a little too boomy in the bass department, so I am going to sell them. I would like a set of closed headphone with a max budget of around $120. I will listen to them mostly connected to my iPad, I also have a little Bravo Chinese made tube amp from ebay that I use sometimes. I have been looking at both the Audio Technica ATH M50's and the A700's. I am open to any other suggestions, I just don't want anything that needs to be amped to sound good. Thanks for any suggestions you can give.
