So is there any justifiable reason to keep it rockboxed? I've been considering it.

Be careful wrapping your earphones around that Cowon if you carry it in your pocket. I've learned the hard way.

What's wrong with the wrapping (This is my second pair. The first one died from being wrapped around the included case too tightly, causing the cable to disconnect from the plug)? Anyways, I don't wrap it up in my pocket. I put the iem case in my backpack and carry the dap  in my pcoket.

About Rockbox.... The EQ, FLAC support, and (most importantly) the fact that I don't need iTunes make it worth it. I don't know about the battery life though... Since it isn't my main DAP I don't need it charged and ready to go. I'm charging it now to run a battery test (I hadn't used it for a LONG time until yesterday, so I don't know how long the battery lasts).

Btw, EPIC display pic! I stole it and I'm using it on Windows Live Messenger!

Well that's exactly what happened to my Monster Turbines. Wrapped them around my phone too tightly, put them in my pocket and that disconnected the right speaker (didn't rip the cable off, but the signal was totally gone).

I see. I don't have that many FLAC files mostly 320kbps files so probably isn't worth it.

Heh thanks, use it all you want! ^_^

the interconnect looks huge.
and that is some sweet ipod case. looks, kind of shinny, does it suffer from scratches on the surface?

I dont understand why people think it's so big. Ive seen some of you guys with mobile rigs stacked like 4 inches high lol. The tubes are the same size as Zammykoo's but my rig makes it look huge I guess? Idk I wanted this "ALO-esque" type cable. http://aloaudio.com/right-angle-22awg-lux-fep-copper.html

Zammykoo's:

Compared to my last cable this is super-compact :p

The case is shiny, has the same surface as the V1 ZO so they match nicely. And yes it loves to be scratched just like a cat.

I would call that OCD lol. Samsquanch used some silver plated copper. It sounds very nice. And yea I have to wonder if $150 is justifiable for those cables.

It actually makes one of the most notable differences I've heard in this hobby. I had originally amped them with my Arrow 3G, and it lifted the veil and cleared up the mud a little. Very nice.

Bam would accurately describe the bass that's vibrating my ear canal.

Yes sir that is a ZO with S4's. Today might have been the day I realized I am more of a basshead than I thought.

Just received my new SR-71a to go with my iPod 5th Gen 80gig RockBoxed plus my IE8s

Sounds amazing compared to what I was listening to before - IE8s straight out of a the headphone jack on a 160 gig classic

I use my Studio-V as my portable rig, this is what I used to use. iPod Nano 2G - CablePro Reverie > PA2V2.
