So, I'm considering disowning my son...

I've offered my HF2s to my son and he refused.  Who'da thunk it?

His iPod died recently, so those hideous phones are stowed away for a while.  When he gets his next player, then I'll continue my efforts to lure him away from them...

Another Rochesterian, eh? We'll let him try my Edition 8 when they finally come back into my possession on Monday. They're blingy enough, right?

Can you not let him live his own life, rather than forcing him to follow your way?
Even though Senn headphones sound good, but if he's hapy with his Skullcandy, let him be. He's not even a grown-up adult to appreciate the kind of music you listen to anyway.
P/S: The thread title is also extreme to me. Disowning your son? That's not something you can joke about, dude.

I feel like laughing until I cry I want to try those now.

Don't even bother. I tried it once and I literally cannot hear any vocal. All I can hear is muddy bass.

Great idea and introduce him to Einsturzende Neubauten while you're at it!

Spending money on headphones that doesn't sound as good as the others is simply not the best idea, its like buying toilet paper with 24K gold dust on it

. You can do it, but theres better choices. The OP, if I guessed correctly, is simply trying to help his son make better choices.
