Hey guys, I'm about to buy the HD 800 and I'm looking for an amp in the 500$ price range.
I've heard the HD800 has a somewhat brighter treble and can be rather fatiguing on the ears, I'm looking for an amp to thin it out  abit, though I appreciate the treble and I love brightness but too much can be fatiguing for me.

I'm looking for a decent amp either SS or a tube amp if necessary what would you guys recommend me and are 500$ enough to amp the H D800 to an awesome listening experience?

I'd like not to spend too much for an right now since I've spent enough this month and I don't mind upgrading amps as I move along.

Thank you very much in advance.

If you can save up a little more, and get the HA-160 it would be nice. Its a detailed amp, with powerful bass, smooth midrange and clear highs.

Hmm, should I skip the HD800 If I can't afford a 2000$ amp at the moment?
It's just that I can't skip it for the price I'm getting it for..

I'm afraid I might get disappointed with a the 600$ amps, or m I mistaken here?

My main genres are jazz, acoustic, classical these are what I enjoy the most and that's what I'm looking for with the HD800.
How does the Burson compare to the M3?
I'm really enjoying treble rather than bass, as I figured it out by now but I'm afraid it might be too bright with a lesser amp than what's recommended with the HD800.

I can say that the HD800's really shine when paired with the Burson. You can do a search on the forum..there are different users with a similar setup (HA-160 + HD800's) they wrote well detailed reviews of the sonic quality of this match.

Thanks, I was thinking about the Auditor aswell...
Do you know they match?
I know the Audtor is very neutral and revealing and really has a nice soundstage, clarity and detail..
and I heard it goes extremely well with the HD 800
