Back from the audiologist, scary thing was that it was almost two years to the day that I had last been in!  Got two sets done, had to pay for both but that was fair enough.

You got some nice deep impressions - I had some done Monday and they don't look as deep....

On second thought... maybe they are fine - they were accepted at 1964

They are even too deep...they will never need that much depth.

According to Piotr they are big enough for the harmony,  though I'll most likely end up at the music one as I use them at work.

Just got to decide what I'm doing with the other set now.  Normally they'd be straight off to Cosmic Ears as in eu but they are not accepting new orders right now.  I'm tempted by 1964 ears but there are other things to consider.  Week out (minimum) to the states, 2-3 week turn around (fair enough) then another week back.  Then there's the thought of taxes on top, then if I need a refit etc etc.   Got the weekend to decide (never my strong point!).  More than likely I will stick with CE but it's nice to have options.

Sony Engineering Corp. just revealed a custom hybrid IEM made by them called "Just Ears", at 280,000 yen! It has three tuning styles apparently.

Just spotted that too: http://av.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/news/20141025_673083.html

Looks like the guy leading the project did the EX800ST (7550), EX1000, and MDR-1R as well --- very impressive resume.

Seems to be a single balanced armature with a single dynamic. Hope the sound is worth the price though.

I had the opportunity to listen to the entire EarWerkz line up this past weekend. Impressions can be found here: http://cymbacavum.com/2014/10/26/the-backyard-biz-shotgunshanes-visit-to-earwerkz/

Awesome! Looks like I have to order the legend

Curious to hear what others think (in due course) about the soundstage depth of the Legend, in light of average_joe's comments.

I'm interested in Legend as well:wink: Guys please note that the current version undergone some tweak to increase resolution (thus it seems that AJ is having a little bit different version from the production version).
