Such articles are IMNSHO misleading.
Much like asking an audiophile forum for qualified opinions on the needs of live performance musicians.
 
You can get some great information here, but context is important.

jtay, I'd encourage you to follow the money--literally. 'Articles' by manufacturers touting their latest products as being better because of more drivers have an obvious incentive to sell the products with more drivers. Articles by audiophiles who have spent money on these same items also have an incentive to praise the multi-driver IEMs--for the writer to justify the money spent.

to both of you: THANKS yeah it totally makes sense. i mean when ppl love their gear, they wanna make it seem like its the best. in some cases i could be haha. but yeah to be honest. im just looking for stage performance stuff because i also play outside of church but yeah alot of articles are just about home listening or studio not really stage monitoring so yeah. but thanks guys . i really appreciate it!
