Calling all Brandy/Cognac Lovers

This is more related to brandies/cognacs that goes well with cigars. I enjoy other whiskies, but for me, cognac goes with pretty much any cigar while IME, other alcohol drinks goes better with certain cigars. Have any of you come across any cheap brandies that you like as much as some of the boutique cognacs?

I'd say I haven't tried any brandy better than Armenian. Or worse then Armenian for that matter. If you find a 30 year old bottle, that's pretty much the end of the line, as good as it gets. If you find the "Last Thursday" bottle, that's a good paint remover.

 

Unfortunately, I couldn't get any good Armenian Brandy in the last decade or so... So, I don't drink brandy anymore :P .

On very rare occasions,

Heavy meal (good cut of steak) + Fresh fruit + some chocolates + Monte Cristo #2 + Remy XO from a snifter + Good music.
I kept a small log of cigars I have smoked but I moved and can't find it =_=.

It's pretty much the ultimate combo for me. biggrin.gif

I've never tried remy xo, but I did recently try(don't laugh) e&j xo. I absolutely hate their other brands, but the color appeared to me. So I decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. It's the best non cognac brandy I've had. It's as good as some cognacs I've tried. I think its an absolute value for 13.00 for 750ml.
