Heh heh heh...

Sennheiser has gotten into the "retro" game with two of their more popular portable headphones... Look at that limited edition PX100... It looks reminiscent of the old HD414, with yellow instead of black foam...

And the PX200... It has chrome where it's normally black, and black where it's normally grey...

LOL, someone needs to point member Mike Walker to this thread:

"Designed to offer an even larger choice of style, the retro version of the PX100 is modelled on Sennheisers famous HD414 from the late 60s."

If I remember correctly, Mike really digs the old HD414...

I must admit that i'm sort of tempted to pick up the PX100s

The PX200s would be a pain to keep looking pristine I think

Duncan, or anyone else: why Sennheiser prefers yellow pads? Marketing reasons? What do you think?

IMO yellow color might save your life while crossing road at night

This is just a thought, but i'm guessing that when the Senn HD414 was released, that yellow was a very 'in' colour, and as the write-up says on the link, these are something to do with the original Senn HD414 commemoration or something...

I too though would be intersted in a 'proper' reason behind this

Wouldn't that make them overly bright?
