Need comparison between the two headphones. T50RP is only 99 at my local music store. M50 I have already . and love it so far. Can anyone compared the two. Saw some massive threads about T50RP lately.

post #3 of 262/10/11 at 11:21amSince no one else has replied, I would say DO NOT HESITATE! The consensus (among people who know far more than me) is that the T50RP is among the most neutral, accurate, detailed, and balanced HP available at any cost, though it does require some slight modifications to do the driver justice. They have been out of stock nearly everywhere for months and people have had a hard time finding them so grab it while you can. Join the Just listened to some Fostex T50RPs today... WOW! thread for more info and details on modding. Here's just one example of the type of impressions they are making among head-fiers with lots of experience: http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/452404/just-listened-to-some-fostex-t50rps-today-wow/330#post_6998354
post #4 of 262/10/11 at 2:10pmThe M50 is one of those cans I've never really gotten around to.
That said, the $100 entrance price for the T50RP is an incredible deal. They sound decent stock, then once you get inside, you will teach yourself a lot about your relationship to the sound of your headphones as you tweak them to your own taste.
we have them in stock in music store in toronto for 99. I can go to the store and buy directly from there.

Can anyone comment on how they stack up against the M50?
after another night of pink noise. m50 has become a god of sound quality. might grab 50rp to compare. Still want to hear people who own both headphones to comment the sound signicant.
post #10 of 262/11/11 at 9:39amYou got to be jokeing the t50rp blows it out of the water, when this headphone is modded properly it can be compared to the headphones in the $1000 league.
post #11 of 262/11/11 at 9:45amIt has to be the best $100 dollar headphone around regarding stock i prefer them over the hd650 and k701 the highs on this headphone is what $1000 dollar headphones have which is reserved but stock the highs are a bit subdued.
It has to be the king for under $100.

wtf lol. I definitely grab tomorrow. I hate buying online, it's nice that a local store carrying it. I might not mod if the sound is good out of box.
