I purchased the HT Omega Claro XT sound card from Newegg a few days ago, and I'm having lots of issues with the connection. I currently have the Logitech Z-2300 2.1 speakers. The problem with these speakers is that the left and right channels are connected to the subwoofer via RCA, and the subwoofer is connected to the volume control (non-RCA connection), and from the volume control there is a stereo jack to connect to a sound card. I used the stereo-to-RCA converter to connect the single stereo jack from the volume control to the left and right connection on the main soundboard (not XT). After installing the drivers, I managed to get sound out of the left speaker, however, the right and the sub woofer are not active.
I tried disconnecting the left and right speakers from the sub woofer and connecting them directly to the sound card; I managed to get sound in both left and right channels, but the quality and volume were extremely low. Not to mention that I lost the use of the subwoofer and the volume control (which is why the volume was so low). I tried several other things like connecting to the XT board, but nothing seems to work.
I originally purchased this soundboard because I have future plans for acquiring a 7.1 system and also high-impedance headphones, but it seems that it doesn't work very well with my current speakers. Is there any way to fix this or do I have to return the product and purchase a Claro + unit instead?
Any help is really appreciated!
