We all have heard of those who have had their D2000/D5000 ear cup fall off due to the screw breaking or coming off, but is this a problem with the D7000?

Has anyone had any problems with their D7000's durability, or is the ear cup attached in a more secure way?

My second pair was delivered like that in the box -- with the left cup broken off. Factory-fresh too. Kind of destroyed my faith in Denon headphones.

Gentleness will not necessarily save you with this design. I am very gentle with my gear - never had a single problem with the dozens of headphones I have owned. But the D7000 came broken in the box. With a headphone having an MSRP of $1000, this is totally unacceptable and does not bode well for the long-term durability of the model.

Other than the ear cup coming off, how can you tell if you have a loose screw? On my d2000 the right ear cup seems to turn easier than the left one, if that makes any sense.

I had this issue with my d5000. Lost the bolt on the screw assembly. Denon wouldn't sell me a new one, and I cannot for the life of me find a peice to fit. Anyone have any ideas?
