help with foobar

hey guys just intsalled foobar but i need a little help with it. firstly i tried downloading setting up the 5.1 effect thing. dolby wraparound and channel mixer appeared fine but the dtc and the ac3 decoder wouldn't show up on my available DSP's. does anyone know if these are intergral do it actualy working

secondly i tried to download this skin http://customize.org/foobar/skins/66696 only for it load up with loads of featured missing. i'm realy stuck on this one guys if anyone knows how to install please explain

I'm not sure about the 5.1 settings, but the skin looks like it may be outdated.  Some of the components are from '08/'09 which have more recent updates available.  What might be happening is incompatibilities between those (outdated) components+skins with a brand new version of foobar2k (I assume you're using the latest).  Most new skins have config files you must replace along with the component and skin folders.  Look around at http://browse.deviantart.com/customization/skins/media/foobar2000/ if you have some time and try sorting the skins by 'newest' so that you know they will mesh with the latest foobar2000 and component updates.

 

I'm currently using 'shine' found here: http://browse.deviantart.com/customization/skins/media/foobar2000/?qh=&section=&q=shine#/d2obnkm .  As you can see in its description, the skin is for foobar2000 v 1.X+.  The vast majority of older skins are only compatible with version 0.9.X.

The AC3 and DTS Plugins wont show up in the DSP list anymore. It the way the author set them up. They work though
