I am new to headphone, full size/portable. I am seeking for a change in setup as my UM1 is beyond repair. I bought ibasso D4Mamba with ipod touch. I would like to ask for recommendation on which headphone should i get in replacement of UM1. My budget is ~$100.

With the budget of $100 I would first sell the Mamba and with the funds buy a better headphones. When you have good phones, save some money over time and then buy an amp. Alternatively do not buy phones now but wait some time until you have enough funds to buy something worth the Mamba.

Just my 2c.

I would have to agree with Szadzik. I doubt you will notice a big difference with a portable amp for headphones that cost $100
From what I have read, the audio technica line of portable headphones (esw9 etc.) sound good from a lot of sources both amped/unamped

I would agree with getting better phones to suit the mamba.  Alternatively, you could plug the mamba into your computer as a DAC, instead of just using it as an amp with the ipod.

That's pretty much what I did...bought the mamba as a DAC/amp for the PC and when the money falls outta the sky for serious cans.. I will use as portable amp as well.
